    Questions

    Which format should I choose?

WebP is a good default for websites: much smaller than JPG and supported by all current browsers. Choose JPG when you're not sure where the image will go. PNG suits screenshots and logos. AVIF is smallest but takes longer to create.

What happens to transparency when I convert to JPG?

JPG can't store transparency, so transparent areas become white instead of black.

    Are my images uploaded?

No. Everything runs inside your browser on your own device. Your files are never sent to a server, and you can check: open your browser's developer tools, watch the Network tab, and you will see no upload.

Is it free? Are there limits?

Free, with no sign-up, no watermark and no daily limit. Because the work happens on your device, it costs us nothing to run, so there is nothing to ration. You can add up to 50 images at a time.
